Robben Ford is a former member of The Yellowjackets we have covered before with his 1992 Ohne Filter concert DVD, but now, Inakustik has begun a new DVD concert series from Paris at the New Morning where this was taped. This 2001 concert runs 90 minutes, or 50% longer than any Ohne Filter installment, and is the stronger concert besides any time considerations. You have a tight, four member band who can really play, know it and enjoy it.

Super-guitarist Larry Carlton says it like it is: "Meeting and jamming with Robben Ford in the seventies made me a better musician." These two groove masters were meant to hit it off. They shared the same solid blues background, a similar degree of jazz influences and a mutual desire to deepen rock 'n' roll's juvenile energy by enriching the vocabulary of the guitar. This is a challenge only the most inspired of virtuosos are able to take up - and a calling to which Robben Ford subordinated everything else. Always shunning compromise, he has been making fans throughout the world for twenty years now.
